This is an easy Homemade “Chicken” Bouillon base. Not actual chicken flavor but it has slowly replaced by bouillon in the house. It packs a flavor punch and can be used in so many places instead of chicken or beef bouillon.
Have you ever read the ingredients list on bouillon cubes or powders?! It’s insane! The brand I was using faithful had more than 24 things and a lot of them I could properly pronounce! Plus, who knows the chemicals used to grow or create those ingredients. Instead, buy or grow healthier herbs and spices and make your own Homemade Bouillon and know exactly what you’re putting into your food!

Process Ingredients
Put all ingredients into a food processor or blender and process for 1 minutes. This may seem excessive but you want all of the herbs to break down into pieces as small as possible.
Store in Canning Jar
This will fit nicely into a quart jar with room to spare. Keep in the pantry or on a spice self with the lid on to keep moisture out. It will clump up if exposed.
Use to Replace Chicken Bouillon
If you want to make a basic broth using the mix, simply mix 1 tablespoon to a cup of hot or boiling water.
I just use like a spice and add to many dishes or sprinkle on top of sautéing veggies. It’s very versatile!
**Tips and trick
- You can add 1/2 – 1 teaspoon of salt if you wish. I try to salt per dish to taste so avoid it when I can
- Add 1 tablespoon of cayenne or chili power to add a bit pf spicy flavor
- If you love the herb flavors add 50% more or even double it 1 or more of the herbs! This is the way I typically make mine.
- Make multiple versions or different dishes and occasion. Just label them “Chicken Bouillon Herb Mix” or “Spicy Chicken Bouillon”.
