Relaxing Herbal Tea

Rather you’re stressed or simply can’t sleep. This is a quick, relaxing herbal tea that can be made in just a few minutes in the comfort of your home.  If you’ve been growing and drying your own herbs, you can rest assured knowing exactly where all of the ingredients came from .

Ingredients

  • Chamomile 1 teaspoon dry or 1 tablespoon fresh
  • Lavender 1/2 teaspoon dry or 2 teaspoons fresh
  • Mint 1/2 teaspoon dry or 2 teaspoons fresh (optional)
  • 1 1/2 cups boiling water
  • Honey to taste (I use 1 overflowing teaspoon cause, hmmm)

Use defuser of choice

I really like this small defuser pot.  It has the herbs soak right into the center of the water. I pour the boiling water directly into the herbs at the center.

If you do not have a diffuser,  boil water and remove from heat. Put herbs directly into hot water and let sit. Use strainer or a colander with a thin cloth to catch all the herb pieces. You can also find small tea diffusers if that is more your style.

Let Steep

Let sit and soak for at least a couple of minutes or until water is your desired temp.  The longer the better!

Stir in honey and enjoy!
